A commercial shoot depends on a shot list agreed in advance, props and models confirmed, and then a round of selections and retouching. When the shot list is an email thread and selections arrive as a list of file numbers in a message, things get missed.

How photography studios set up Tandem App

  1. Create a channel per booking, such as #shoot-meadow-skincare-june, and pin the date, studio address and agreed shot count.
  2. Use a task with a checklist for the shot list, one item per product or setup, so the team can tick them off on the day.
  3. Upload contact sheets to a Docs folder and ask the client to comment on the frames they want retouched; the team turns each request into a retouching task.
  4. Keep model releases and the signed quote in a separate folder in the internal #studio-admin channel, not in the client channel.

Clients and outside people

The client's brand manager joins the booking channel as a Chat only guest so they can comment on selections. An end date two weeks after delivery tidies up access.

What it costs

Tandem App is free for up to 3 users. Paid plans are charged per user (owners, admins and members) from $1.99 a month, and guests are free: 5 for every paid user. Every feature is on every plan. See pricing.
