Tandem App has a free plan and three paid plans. Every plan has every feature; the paid plans remove the user limit and add more storage. Paid plans are billed per user, and payment is handled by Stripe. This guide explains the plans, how billing works and where to manage it.
The plans
- Free — up to 3 users and 10 GB of storage.
- Basic — $1.99 per user per month, any number of users, 25 GB of storage.
- Silver — $3.99 per user per month, any number of users, 50 GB of storage.
- Gold — $4.99 per user per month, any number of users, 100 GB of storage.
Prices are in US dollars. Storage is the total for the whole workspace, chat attachments and Docs together. See the pricing page for the current figures.
How billing works
- Per user. You pay for each owner, admin and member. The bill follows the number of users as people join or leave.
- Guests are free, up to 5 for each paid user.
- Deactivated people don't count. When someone leaves, deactivate them on the People tab.
- Monthly or yearly. Paying yearly charges 10 months for 12, so two months are free.
Upgrading
Owners and admins manage the plan. They need two-step sign-in switched on.
- Open Admin dashboard from the sidebar. The Overview & plan tab shows your plan and your users, guests and storage against its limits.
- Under Plans, choose Monthly or Yearly (2 months free). Each plan shows what your team would pay at its current size.
- Click Choose on the plan you want.
- Enter your card on Stripe's secure page. Card details are kept by Stripe, never by us.
Switching plans or cancelling
- Switching between paid plans takes effect straight away. The difference is added to, or taken off, your next bill.
- Cancelling with Cancel subscription keeps your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then moves the workspace to Free. Nothing is deleted, but only 3 users and 10 GB fit on Free. Changed your mind? Click Keep my subscription before the end date.
Card, billing details and invoices
The Billing & invoices tab of the Admin dashboard has three parts:
- Payment card — Update payment card takes you to Stripe's secure page to change it.
- Billing details — the company or name, address, an email for invoices and a VAT or tax number, all printed on your invoices. Changes apply to the next invoice.
- Invoices — every invoice with its date, number, amount and status. View opens it, Pay appears on any still unpaid, and PDF downloads a copy for your accounts.
If a payment fails
If a payment doesn't go through, owners and admins see a notice asking them to update the card. Stripe tries again, so updating the card promptly keeps the workspace on its plan.
